Brunch at Rubirosa on a chilly Sunday in Soho before wandering off a few blocks down the road to the Apple store to buy a new iPad. Whoever thought smashing up meatballs and serving them up with poached eggs is genius. Those eggs only lasted about 2 minutes on my plate before I found myself remorsefully pushing around the neglected salad greens with my fork, wishing I had taken slower bites.

enter imperial no. nine

A night out at Imperial No. Nine at the Mondrian is a good way to splurge when you need an escape. Walking through their quietly impressive entrance never quite loses it's magic. 

A little out of the norm from my usual restaurant rotation of casual dining - it's fun to dress up for a true night out in the city. And after dinner, there's always after hours at Mister H.
