Recent trend seems in NYC food seems to be this idea of experiential eating - I love the way Tacombi has set up shop on Elizabeth Street serving up little tacos on an adorable vintage VW bus. Way to outshine the standard food truck.
Wearing: Acne dress, vintage sheer skirt, Phi boots
How do you buy one of these little guys? You pre-purchase a little blue poker chip which you can trade in at the bus for a taco. I hope to see more creative ideas like this sprouting up soon!

On a freezing cold winter night - avoiding the cold by wrapping myself up in as many layers as possible and picking one destination spot on nights I actually make it out. Surprisingly managing these low temps better this year than ever before. Not sure if that's a good sign that I'm getting used to the weather after all these years or if it's a bad sign that my insides are turning stone cold with age.
I'm in love with this little bag I picked up in the lower east side by the way. Excessively shiny and loveably noisy. I think I have a thing for bags with chain straps.
In other news, I'm trying to stick to my one new year's resolution this year and it's been a little tough getting there. I hope everyone is having a better go at theirs than me!

I took these photos while waiting to chow down on noodles at Hung-Ry on Bond street. My friend introduced me to this place several weeks ago and I'm in love with their chewy noodle consistency! Growing up, my parents would always take me to eat noodles at this Korean Chinese restaurant where a family friend was the chef and to this day, he still makes amazing hand-pulled noodles. The noodles at Hung-Ry remind me of those hot bowls I would enjoy when I was young. I'm wearing one of favorite Alexander Wang sweaters in the first photo, which the boy loves to point out is the most impractical sweater ever made because it has holes every where.
I guess my love for the unfunctional side of fashion doesn't stop at six-inch heels. Six is the new four folks.
Cappucino from espresso phenom Abraço on East 7th.
I love how much you love this place.
Not long ago, in a charming dream,
I saw myself -- a king with crown's treasure;
I was in love with you, it seemed,
And heart was beating with a pleasure.
I sang my passion's song by your enchanting knees.
Why, dreams, you didn't prolong my happiness forever?
But gods deprived me not of whole their favor:
I only lost the kingdom of my dreams.

I like wearing this big hat and burrowing my face in this big scarf. Best way to stay warm when the temps drop and pretend like I can hide in a city where everything is visible and everyone is invisible.

Fennel, arugula and shaved grana padano
Linguine with anchovies, breadcrumbs, black olives, and arugula
A simple place for a simple late night dinner. I like this place when I want to get away from a big crowd and I'm craving a fresh salad with a little bowl of warm filling pasta.

These past few days have been absolute bliss for me - the boy is in town for 1.5 weeks to celebrate the new year with me in the city and it feels just like old times again.
I hope everyone had a safe and amazing New Year's Eve celebration!
